Ursula Westwood is a local felt artist and teaches felt making to all ages, in school groups, craft groups, with organised workshops, as a volunteer with the NHS, at parties and at festivals.
Her work is mainly inspired by nature and she has exhibited at Warwickshire Open Studios as well as working with The National Trust.
Ursula creates her designs by ‘drawing with wool’ and it is an ongoing love of creating felt that inspires her to pass it on through her workshops to so many. Felt is a versatile and exciting textile to work with, and can be sculptural, therapeutic and a wonderful way to be creative. Everyone can enjoy the process and see results within a short time.
Come to make some fantastic festival felt as a souvenir of your Lunar weekend. Whether it is a landscape scene with a moon, a mystical creature, or just splashes of abstract colours, create a picture from felt as a special memory, and be inspired.
