Lunar will have a lot on offer to make the festival very family friendly. First of all, we understand that as a family you may not want to be camping with people who are there to party until 3am! Therefore we have dedicated family camping options exclusively for families, so that you and your children can get a good night’s kip!
Keeping the kids entertained is also an important part of the festival experience. We will have plenty of kid-friendly workshops throughout the weekend to get them moving, creating and learning new skills. These will allow you to go and have some time to yourselves while the kids are entertained, or feel free to join in! There is a huge range of workshops for all ages and abilities.
Umberslade Children’s Farm
Why not visit Umberslade Children’s Farm while you’re there? It has an exciting array of activities including handling baby chicks, rabbits & guinea pigs, exploring the pig sties to see the cutest piglets, bottle feeding lambs or calves, riding one of the ponies around the farmyard, hand milking the goats, tackling the indoor Egg Splat cannons or riding one of the John Deere Tractors. You can also enjoy the two adventure play areas – specifically designed for different age groups, and be sure to try some of the delicious meals, snacks, fresh coffee and home-made cakes in the Farmhouse Café. Entrance to the Children’s Farm is free to children under 12 and to Adults who are accompanied by a Child (limited to 2 Adults per Child please). See our Green Camp Field options for early access to the Farmhouse Café and direct access to the Children’s Farm.
Returning for another year we have Sync Education. These guys have looked after our Children’s Sports activities for the previous 3 years so we are extremely pleased to be having them back for Lunar’s return in 2018! This gives the kids an opportunity to stay active and interact with other children in a safe environment, giving you (the parents) some time to yourselves to relax together.
On the Lunar stage each morning you’ll find Kid’s films from 9am – 12pm and in the afternoon there will all sorts of activities in the Forest School.
Further details of our family-friendly elements will be released in early 2018.
