Children On Site
This year there will be an under 12’s ticket which allows entry for under 12’s on any, or all, of the days (Under 2’s go free and do not require a ticket). This ticket will only cost £5 and is intended as a contribution towards the children’s activities on site including free access to Umberslade Children’s farm.
Umberslade children’s farm has an exciting array of activities including:
Handle baby chicks, rabbits & guinea pigs Explore the pig sties and see the cutest piglets Bottle feed our lambs or calves Ride one of our ponies around the farmyard Hand milk the goats Tackle the indoor Egg Splat cannons or ride one of the John Deere Tractors Jump on board the Tractor & Trailer ride Enjoy the two adventure play areas – specifically designed for different age groups Try some of the delicious meals & snacks, fresh coffee & home-made cakes in the Farmhouse Cafe
Please keep your children supervised at all times, Umberslade Estate is a working farm.
Entrance to the main arena and campsite is only possible with a valid wristband. Tickets and e-tickets are exchanged for a wristband on arrival at the festival box office.
Wristbands removed from the wrist or tampered with will be rendered invalid and cannot be replaced. Please keep your wristband on for the duration of your ticket. (I.E. If you have a Weekend Ticket you will need to keep it on for the full three days).
This year we will be asking for £10 per car on arrival. This charge will go towards the maintenance of the car parking field during, and after, the event. It will also cover the cost of stewarding and 24 hour security in the car park.
There will be two car parks at Lunar Festival 2016. The long stay car park is a 5 minute walk to the arena and is intended for those staying for the weekend. The short stay car park is a 10-15 minute walk from the arena and is intended for day ticket holders. If you need to leave the festival site during the weekend you will be directed back into the short stay car park on your return.
There will be wheelbarrows at the box office to help carry items to the camping fields (subject to availability/deposit required).
We politely ask festival goers to minimise trips to/from Lunar festival to reduce the congestion in the surrounding area, to minimise the wear and tear of parking fields and to help reduce our carbon footprint.
We will be posting official coach & car pooling services along with other green initiatives shortly.
Food & Drink
There will be an array of our favourite festival caterers on site at this year’s Lunar Festival. We will be making sure there is something for everyone including Vegan and Vegetarian food.
Please note you are not allowed to bring alcohol into the main arena. We have several fully stocked bars serving local award winning ales, cocktails, wine & spirits. You are allowed to bring alcohol for personal consumption into the campsites.
Chairs at the Festival
Please feel free to bring folding chairs and blankets and make yourselves comfortable. Some of the artists on the bill are definitely more of a sit down affair but just as many are of the get up and dance variety. We ask that chairs are kept back beyond a certain point so there’s room for both the seated and standing. (there will be signs and stewards to show you).
Leave it at Home
There will be several well stocked bars selling a range of delicious beverages throughout the weekend. No alcohol is to be brought into the arena area but you may bring some alcohol into the campsite for personal use. For healthy & Safety reasons there is absolutely no glass is allowed on site. We have to be strict about this so please don’t be offended if our stewards ask to check your bag. We apologise but NO DOGS are permitted, except for assistance dogs.
We also request that no disposable BBQ’s are bought on site. Only professional camping stoves.
We welcome disabled guests. There are easy access toilets on site. Please note that the festival does take place on a farm so the ground, at points, can be uneven.
