How to get there

The Lunar Festival is easy to reach from all over the UK.

Its centrally located just south of Birmingham, 5 miles from Junction 3 of the M42.

The festival takes place on The Umberslade Estate B94 5AE.

Its important that we don’t congest the narrow sleepy lanes of Tanworth in Arden so please follow our signs to bypass the village.

In the past we have worked with liftshare.com for Lunar Festival as part of our green initiative drive. This allows you to offer or request a lift by visiting our holding page on the website. More details on whether this will be available for 2018 will be announced at a later date.

Red Kite Cycles is proud to be supporting Lunar Festival to bring greener transport to its weekend of superb live entertainment. Including secured bike parking and free maintenance advice they will be helping to reduce parking demands and celebrating our low carbon ethos. We are also looking into the feasibility of daily cycle rides round Tamworth-In-Arden over the festival and cycle conveys from Moseley to the festival site!

Red Kite Cycles is an independent bricks and mortar bike shop based in Shirley with nearly 20 years trading experience. We offer a fabulous range of bikes and products across the whole cycling spectrum, backed up with quality service from our passionate staff and top-end workshop.

Watch this space for more information about the services they will be offering!

Take Junction 3 off the M42 heading South on the A435 towards Redditch & Evesham. After 1.5 miles take the B4101 Left signed BEOLEY / HOCKLEY HEATH / TANWORTH IN ARDEN. From here please follow the Lunar Festival signs which will guide you towards Umberslade Farm Park.

This year we will be asking for £10 per car on arrival. This charge will go towards the maintenance of the car parking field during, and after, the event. It will also cover the cost of stewarding and 24 hour security in the car park.

Please note the car park is 10-15 minute walk to the festival site.

There will be wheelbarrows at the box office to help carry items to the camping fields (subject to availability/deposit required).

We politely ask festival goers to minimise trips to/from Lunar festival to reduce the congestion in the surrounding area, to minimise the wear and tear of parking fields and to help reduce our carbon footprint.
