What time is the Festival Box Office open?
From 12pm – 9pm Thursday & 10am – 9pm Friday to Sunday.
How do I get there by car?
It’s important that we don’t congest the narrow sleepy lanes of Tanworth In Arden so please follow our signs to bypass the village. Take Junction 3 off the M42 heading South on the A435 towards Redditch & Evesham. After 1.5 miles take the B4101 Left signed BEOLEY / HOCKLEY HEATH / TANWORTH IN ARDEN. From here please follow the Lunar Festival signs which will guide you towards Umberslade Farm Park.
Is there a charge to park my car?
Main Parking is accessed at the bottom of Tom Hill just before the bridge. There is a £10 charge per car payable on arrival. Re-entry is OK from the Main Parking fields. Its a short 500m walk from the Main Car Park to the Festival Entrance.
We politely ask our guests to minimise trips to and from Lunar Festival to reduce the congestion in the surrounding area, to minimise the wear and tear on the parking fields and to help reduce our carbon footprint. We’ve done our best to provide everything you may need on site.
Purple Parking – we also offer limited parking spaces for cars in the Purple Parking field, accessed via the main driveway into the Farm. It’s a short 200m walk from Purple Parking to the Festival Entrance. Once parked there is no re-entry from this field. Spaces can be booked online in advance for £25 per car.
There will be wheelbarrows at the box office to help carry items to the camping fields (subject to availability / a deposit is required). For safety reasons, there is strictly no sleeping in cars in any of the Car Parks.
I don’t have a car – what are my travel options?
The best option is to travel from Birmingham. For information on getting to the festival please click here.
How far is the car park to the campsite/arena?
The Main Care Park is 500m from the festival entrance. Everything is within a 10-15 minute walk approximately. Please refer to the map on the Camping page.
Can I build my own campfire / BBQ on the site?
For safety reasons we have to strictly prohibit any fires or BBQ’s on the site, however there will be a roaring bonfire in the main festival area all weekend for everybody to enjoy and toast their marshmallows safely.
When is my favourite band playing?
Full performance times will be on display throughout the festival site and in the festival guide.

Can I bring glassware to the festival?
No, sorry you’ll need to decant into plastic bottles or tubs as the site is on a Farm. Glassware is not permitted in the campsite area or Arena.
Can I bring alcohol to the festival?
You are allowed to bring alcohol to the festival but this must be a reasonable personal amount. It can only be brought in on your first entry – if you leave the site and come back in you cannot bring any alcohol in with you. No glassware is permitted on site so please decant into plastic bottles or any other suitable material. Alcohol is only permitted in the campsites and is not permitted anywhere else on site. Anyone found trying to take alcohol into the other areas of the festival, or attempting to bring in more than is deemed a reasonable personal amount into the campsites, will have their alcohol confiscated.
Are there places to shower/wash up/water points etc?
All campsites are in close proximity to our multiple water points, sinks, toilet blocks and shower blocks.
Can I pitch my tent in the Live-In Vehicle area?
For Health and Safety reasons we have to keep tents and camping vehicles separate but the site is fairly small so you’re never far from friends if they’re in another area.
All children must be accompanied to the festival by an adult over the age of 21. Please keep your children supervised at all times during the festival. Lunar takes place on a working farm and there will also be a communal fire in the arena for the duration of the festival. For the safety of everyone during the festival weekend, please do not leave your children unattended.
Do I need to book in advance for any workshops?
Most of our workshops are open to everyone to have a go, however some more specialist crafts will need to know in advance who is coming due to limits on materials and space. Details will be up at the Festival Shop.
What time does the site open each day?
The Festival Box Office/Camp Sites opens at 12pm on Thursday 26th and 10am Friday 27th – Sunday 29th.
Can I leave the site during the day and re-enter?
Yes, if you are parked in the Main Car Park, however we are asking festival goers to minimise their trips in and out of the festival to help reduce our carbon foot print. You will be allowed to drive out at any time but only able to drive in between 10am – 10pm. There is no re-entry if you are parked in the Purple Car Park or Live-In Vehicle Campsite.
